Patra Semarang Hotel & Convention CSR Activities Yoga Prenatal and Waste Management

To begins February, Patra Jasa through its Business Unit, Patra Semarang Hotel & Convention has carried out CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities. The program includes Prenatal Yoga Art Development for Pregnant Women and Training on Processing Garbage Maggots into Animal Feed.

The Prenatal Yoga Art Development Program was attended by 30 pregnant women from the Qita Yoga community, South Semarang District, where the training was divided into 2 sessions, offline and online while still following health protocols for mutual safety and health.

For 75 minutes, participants were taught various yoga movements to practice breathing to help the delivery process more comfortable, calm, easy, and smooth. This is also one of the benefits of the importance of exercise for pregnant women in order to maintain the health condition of the womb during pregnancy.

For the Waste Maggot Management program into Livestock Feed, the activity was attended by 20 participants from the Garbage Bank Youth Organization, Candisari District and the Youth Ikrar Bakti Youth Organization from Bawen District. With the guidance given by Mr. Hendro as the founder of the Waras Waste Bank, it is hoped that participants will be able to contribute to increasing community income and minimizing household waste, especially organic waste. The program implemented in Geneng Kandangan Bawen Village provides understanding, knowledge and techniques about waste management and the benefits of maggot produced for animal feed, such as poultry, catfish and ornamental fish.

This year, we invite pregnant women to stay active during their pregnancy to be better prepared for childbirth. Meanwhile, the Waste Maggot Management program into Livestock Feed aims to make residents more creative in utilizing waste into something more useful. In addition, this activity is also expected to invite the community to be more productive even during the pandemic but still do not forget to apply the Health protocol in every activity carried out, “he concluded.
