Jakarta, March 24, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has now become increasingly widespread. According to the Indonesian COVID-19 website (as of March 23, 2020), 579 people have been identified as positive. Therefore, Patra Jasa is determined to make a maximum contribution, in fighting the spread of the Corona virus in Indonesia in various ways.

Since the beginning of March 2020, Patra Jasa has taken several precautionary measures, namely by providing early detection tools in every business unit it owns. Every visitor and employee who will enter the building, is required to take body temperature measurements first. Patra Jasa also performs sterilization in all work areas and business units, as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

On March 11, 2020, the parent company, PT Pertamina (Persero) received a mandate from the Government, in this case the Ministry of SOEs to play an active role in providing hospitals that are suitable for handling COVID-19 sufferers. The two assets of PT Pertamina (Persero) are Pertamina Jaya Hospital (RSPJ) and Patra Comfort Jakarta, which are located right next to each other in the Central Jakarta area. The transfer of the functions of the two assets is requested to be carried out immediately, considering the urgent need for Special Hospitals.

In connection with Patra Jasa’s expertise in the property sector, the process of re-construction of the RSPJ function to a Special Hospital, is supervised and supervised directly by the Patra Jasa Team.

For our Hotel, Patra Comfort Jakarta itself, the facilities provided are 52 rooms as accommodation facilities for RSPJ medical personnel. In addition, in the Patra Comfort Jakarta parking area, 90 mobile-beds (modular) will be provided for observation patients. All facilities are being prepared to be completed in the near future.

Apart from that, still in an effort to fight COVID-19, the city of Bandung was chosen by the Government as one of 6 cities where a POSKO WITH SOEs & BNPB will be established. Patra Comfort Bandung was chosen to be the Joint Command Post, in collaboration with PT Jasa Marga, Pindad Hospital Bandung and Telkom Indonesia. This Joint Command Post will become one of the official communication centers for BUMN-BNPB and a coordination center for the people of Bandung regarding updates on prevention/mitigation of the risk of spreading COVID-19.

In the Joint Command Post, there will be volunteers who are SOE/BNPB PICs, equipped with electronic devices providing complete information on COVID-19 prevention and the latest information from the Central Government.

Patra Jasa is committed to continuing to provide education to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, especially in all business units and the surrounding community in general.
